Publisher Aeria Games has revealed F.E.A.R. Online, a free-to-play first-person shooter set in the F.E.A.R. universe.
F.E.A.R. Online will feature several team-based multiplayer modes set across 10 detailed maps, which are complete with macabre visuals including 'still-twitching bodies hanging from meat hooks and messages smeared in blood' ' as if we expected anything less from the F.E.A.R. franchise?
Among the game modes will be Soul King, which was introduced in F.E.A.R. 3. Soul King challenges players to possess enemies and collect more souls than their opponents.
Those interested in trying the game early can sign up for the closed beta today.
“We are thrilled to present the next entry in one of the most popular horror franchises of the last decade,” said Tom Nichols, vice president of PC games, Aeria Games. “F.E.A.R. Online will bring back the tense, heart-pounding action that the series is known for and make it accessible to a huge online community of competitive players.”
